Από το 2018 και βλέπουμε για το The Winds Of Winter | Έρχεται η GRRMarillion
Μέσα στον πανικό που επικρατεί στο nerd-ο-σύμπαν λόγω του San Diego Comic Con, ο συγγραφέας του A Song Of Fire And Ice / Game Of Thrones, George RR Martin μας πρόσφερε μια φρέσκια ενημέρωση σχετικά με τα τεκταινόμενα στα έργα του.
Μέσω του προσωπικού του Blog, αρχικά διαφήμισε τη συλλογή διηγημάτων που θα συμμετάσχει με καινούργια ιστορία με θεματολογία -τι άλλο φυσικά;- Sword n’ Sorcery και τόνισε πως αυτό θα είναι το μόνο καινούργιο πράγμα που θα διαβάσουμε από αυτόν για το 2017.
Ξεκαθάρισε το τοπίο από τα δημοσιεύματα για την πορεία του The Winds Of Winter, του 6ου βιβλίου της σειράς και τόνισε ότι είναι μήνες μακριά το τέλος του. Αυτό έχει και τα καλά και τα κακά του, αν ρωτάτε εμάς (αν, είπαμε). Κι αυτό γιατί, αν όντως είναι μόνο μερικούς μήνες… μακριά, θα το δούμε σίγουρα στο 2018 που ήταν και το αρχικό (υπέρτατο) deadline που είχε δώσει το 2014 και τόνιζε πως το βιβλίο θα ήταν έτοιμο κάπου ενδιάμεσα 2015-2018. Γιατί δεν έχει σημασία μόνο να τελειώσει ο ίδιος το γράψιμο, αλλά υπάρχει ολόκληρη διαδικασία για να βγει ένα (τέτοιο) βιβλίο.
And, yes, I know you all want to know about THE WINDS OF WINTER too. I’ve seen some truly weird reports about WOW on the internet of late, by ‘journalists’ who make their stories up out of whole cloth. I don’t know which story is more absurd, the one that says the book is finished and I’ve been sitting on it for some nefarious reason, or the one that says I have no pages. Both ‘reports’ are equally false and equally moronic. I am still working on it, I am still months away (how many? good question), I still have good days and bad days, and that’s all I care to say. Whether WINDS or the first volume of FIRE AND BLOOD will be the first to hit the bookstores is hard to say at this juncture, but I do think you will have a Westeros book from me in 2018… and who knows, maybe two. A boy can dream…
Ναι και έχουμε και την GRRMarillion, (στα χνάρια της Silmarillion) στο συγγραφικό του μέλλον που τονίζει ότι κι αυτό, το πρώτο της μέρος θα είναι έτοιμο μέσα στο 2018. 2 βιβλία George Martin μέσα στο 2018; Βρε λες;
Και τι είναι αυτό θα πείτε αν δεν πιάσατε το νόημα; Μα η εξιστόρηση κάποιων ιστορικών στοιχείων που βασίζεται το Song Of Fire And Ice που δεν εξερευνόνται αρκούντως αναλυτικά στο main story. Και για την ακρίβεια…
Speaking of fake history… regulars here may recall our plan to assemble an entire book of my fake histories of the Targaryen kings, a volume we called (in jest) the GRRMarillion or (more seriously) FIRE AND BLOOD. We have so much material that it’s been decided to publish the book in two volumes. The first of those will cover the history of Westeros from Aegon’s Conquest up to and through the regency of the boy king Aegon III (the Dragonbane). That one is largely written, and will include (for the first time) a complete detailed history of the Targaryen civil war, the Dance of the Dragons. My stories in DANGEROUS WOMEN (“The Princess and the Queen”) and ROGUES (“The Rogue Prince”) were abridged versions of the same histories.
